The challenge
I was assigned the task of conceptualizing a client dashboard. This dashboard is intended to serve as a customer-centric hub, fulfilling the following objectives:
• Aggregating essential data regarding purchased sensors and Software Development Kits (SDKs).
• Providing valuable recommendations for enhancing the customer experience with complementary SDKs.
• Anticipating future needs by incorporating features such as sensor status indicators.
• Offering flexible grid and list views.
• Ensuring an optimal user experience for customers, regardless of whether they manage a small set of cameras or a large fleet of sensors.
The process
Requirement workshop
I kicked off with a requirement workshop aimed at enhancing the clarity of the original brief, which lacked detail.
Engaging in this collaborative effort with the client's team, I conducted a stakeholder interview to extract essential insights. Through mapping of discussion points, we extracted the information display and task execution criteria. This workshop served not only as the cornerstone for my conceptual work but also highlighted gaps in the client's vision, allowing for a more comprehensive understanding of their needs.
Sitemaps, Product and Purchase Flow
We were working towards a MVP solution as a first delivery, so I mapped out Preacts general product and purchase flow and the Dashboards future and MVP sitemap.
Wireframes & Visual Design
Through a series of iterations on Wireframes of the Dashboard we arrived at a solution that both fulfilled all requirements and would provide a delightful User Experience to future clients.
